Harvey is the story of Elwood P. Dowd, an affable man and his invisible friend Harvey, a six-foot-tall rabbit. After a series of embarassments, Elwood's social-climbing sister, Veta Simmons, decides to have him committed to a sanitarium, where the wrong people end up committed, and the search is on for Elwood and Harvey. When Elwood arrives looking for Harvey, things get even stranger, and decisions have to be made between what's "normal," and being happy.
